After an exhilarating win last Saturday in the heat to Beavers, the Arizona football team look to continue their winning streak against the Colorado Buffaloes, in the altitude.
Is the Pac-12 South still up for grabs? The Utah Utes better lose a game for any other team to have a chance in the division. Although some would say that Utah going all the way to the NCAA championship game could be good for the Pac-12 overall (post season ad revenue will help the DIRECTV/Pac-12 deal possibly go through.)
Last night the Stanford Cardinal showed the world that they are unstoppable, beating the UCLA Bruins by 21 points, 56-35. Not quite as bad as Arizona’s or OSU’s loss to Stanford, but not good for UCLA, who is missing Miles Jack. Arizona fans can relate.
Cardinal running back Christian McCaffrey had a record-setting game, rushing for a whopping 223 yards breaking Toby Gerhart’s school record of 223 yards made earned back in 2009. If you missed it, there was a play in that game which will go down in history; a 41-yard pass to Francis Owusu caught on the back of a Bruin on a trick play. He couldn’t even see the ball he was catching.
The play caught the attention of Wildcat Authority’s Jason Scheer, and ZonaZealots.
Enough about those other Pac-12 teams, what we care about and need to focus on is the next couple of games to get some wins under our belt. Those Colorado Buffalo fans are pretty darn confident, should they be? Reply back to this tweet and let them know!
Game Prediction
Arizona has won the last three times these two teams have met. This game is a Homecoming game for Colorado; that means hype and Alumni will be filling the stands. Last week the Buffs couldn’t handle Arizona’s rival, the Sun Devils, and lost 48-23. The Buffs were able to put a score on the board each quarter, but only one score per quarter. Are the Sun Devils that good? Or. is Colorado struggling for another year?

On Offense, Arizona’s Anu Solomon remains healthy. Arizona running back Nick Wilson is listed as questionable with a foot injury for the upcoming game in the altitude this Saturday, but receivers Tyrell Johnson and Trey Griffey are back in the line-up. Also, what we saw from true freshman Orlando Bradford was impressive, and it seems with QB Jerrard Randall available as well as Jared Baker, the Cats should be in good shape.
On defense, Scooby Wright, cornerback DaVonte’ Neal (hamstring) and defensive tackle Jeff Worthy (concussion) are all for this game. Arizona’s coaches defensive scheme changes last week proved a positive step in the right direction with Paul Magloire Jr. making the most tackles, and other moves made the difference as well. Arizona hopes to carry the momentum from their win against OSU (44-7) into that place a mile high from sea level and bring home another win for the Cats
