Arizona Basketball is headed to Seattle to take on the Huskies for a road sweep of Washington.

Does Arizona have enough to conduct the third road sweep in the Pac-12?

The Wildcats (18-5), led by Ryan Anderson,  routed the Washington State Cougars (9-13) Wednesday night in Pullman, WA. Gabe York added two more 3-pointers, and Kaleb Tarczewski added one more win to his college record. Arizona has had a few days off before the match-up Saturday February 6th at 1:30 P.M. PST (2:30 P.M. MST) in Seattle against the Washington Huskies (15-7).

The Cats are currently tied for third in the Pac-12 standings with Colorado and Utah. Oregon is in First place with Washington and USC tied for second. Sound funny to you? Us too, but that’s the way the Pac-12 stands going into this weekend.

Washington, 3rd  in the Pac-12 just head of Arizona, defeated the Arizona State Sun Devils Wednesday night in overtime 95-83.  Arizona basketball would love for a road sweep of the Washington trip with a rising Husky team, a win could propel them up a notch in the standings.

Kadeem Allen is back to normal and over his illness. He played on Wednesday night and fouled out, and that was after he was violently ill the entire day according to coach Sean Miller. Parker Jackson-Cartwright started in his place for the first time in his college career and did a very good job. He didn’t turn over the ball once.

Freshmen star guard Allonzo Trier could return for the Wildcats for the first time after breaking his hand four weeks ago at Galen Center.

“It’s not easy now to play in our conference without your leading scorer, or your second-leading scorer,” Miller said, “I don’t know how many games now it’s been without Allonzo, it feels like 20, but we need his depth, we need his scoring. He’s an improved defender. He’s one of the best freshman in the league.”

It would be such a huge bonus for the Wildcats to have Trier back from injury even if it is in limited minutes. His hand injury should be healed in about 4-6 weeks. Coach Miller needs to nurse him back to full health for a chance to win the Pac-12 and a run in the NCAA Tournament. For right now it is a game time decision.

For Coach Sean Miller to conduct a sweep at Washington, Arizona must contain Senior guard, Andrew Andrews.  Andrews leads the Huskies averaging 33.5 mins , 20.6 points, 6.0 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game. The Huskies are one of the youngest teams in the NCAA this season and performing better than Arizona at this point in the season if you look at the standings.

The last time the Wildcats run the Huskies out of the gym  99-67 Thursday January 14th .The Washington Huskies would love to defend there home court against both Arizona schools .

Prediction: Washington is going to give Arizona a run for their money. 82-75
