Sean Miller’s sweaty dress shirt incident during the Arizona Basketball team’s first-round loss to Wichita State in the NCAA Tournament created such a buzz that it may have landed him a rather unusual partnership.
As you may recall, we featured Sean Miller’s unfortunate wardrobe mishap in the April Fool’s article last week. While drenching a shirt in sweat was certainly no joke, we must reiterate once more that the article was made in jest, and Miller did not face punishment from Pac-12 Commissioner Larry Scott, or the Pac-12 itself.
ZZ learned the April Fool worked because Wildcats fans felt it was a believable premise, which is eye-opening in and of itself.

It may have been a couple of weeks since the Arizona Wildcats’ heartbreaking first-round blow-out, and while things may still be depressing for Wildcats fans, perhaps the only silver lining following the game has indeed come to light in recent days.
Head coach Sean Miller seems to have found a solution to not having to talk about his team’s first round loss and instead focussing on his in-game perspiration. The odd predicament went viral enough to garner the attention of the CEO of Tommy John T-Shirts, Tommy Patterson, who sent Miller a few of their premium products.
While we don’t know for certain if an endorsement deal has been made between both parties, we at least know Miller seems to have found a solution to avoiding tournament talk.
He has also been a good sport during the process, even so he made some joking comments in his recent press conference. “I have received boxes,” Miller said smiling, “I received a box from the CEO of Tommy John. I have received five different types of shirts. I mean, this has worked out well for me.”
“I received a box from the CEO of Tommy John…I mean, this has worked out well for me.”
Joking aside, Miller has seemed to have turned an embarrassing event into a positive by explaining that the Cats first-round loss was dwarfed by sweaty shirt questions and commentary. He has taken a bit of the extra attention in stride.
In classic Sean Miller fashion, winning is everything to him and fans wouldn’t want it any other way.
Here are some of the comments he had about the positive turn of events in his press conference held earlier today. Steve Rivera asked the question we all had on our minds, what was Miller’s comeback to all of the comments about his sweat.

Moving forward for Miller and the Wildcats, they will now be able to focus on next season and Miller might become a richer man because he will be repping his choice of dress shirts and undershirts. Where ever that leads him with his new svelte physique, he can move on and focus on what he does best, and that is coaching! Bear Down, Coach, and Bear Down Arizona!
