Former Arizona Wildcat standout and NBA star Gilbert Arenas, alongside Mia Khalifa, will host sports talk show on the YouTube Channel Complex News – Out of Bounds.
Agent zero is back in the media spotlight! This time Gilbert Arenas is making his sports talk show debut on Complex News, a YouTube channel, with former adult entertainer Mia Khalifa in a series called Out of Bounds. How appropriate. Both have been known to be active on social media for good things and not so good things that have been “out of bounds” hence the name of the series.

Social media is everywhere and has an impact on so many levels. You can’t go anywhere without seeing someone post something outrageous on Twitter or some questionable post on Instagram. But at the end of the day, it gets people talking. Some people may not like what they see or agree with someone’s viewpoint, but you have that choice to not read a tweet or view a picture on Instagram.
Just because someone’s may post something on social media that is questionable, does not mean they are a terrible person. Yes, Gilbert Arenas has done some things that may offend people, but that doesn’t take away from the fact that he was a great basketball player on the college and professional level. Plus, he loves his kids and teach them basketball.
Recently he took part in the Drive By Dunk challenge on twitter with his kids:
On Complex.com Arenas shares his excitement about getting involved in sports talk:
"I always knew that I wanted to work in sports media after retiring, and Complex just made sense. Being able to talk sports while being myself is truly rewarding.”"
Joining Arenas on October 16th will be former adult entertainer and social media star Mia Khalifa. Similar to Arenas, she has done things recently on Twitter and Instagram that got people talking. Khalifa is mainly known for her “trolling” of college and professional athletes.
One of the most recent incidents was when she tweeted this to Oklahoma Sooners QB Baker Mayfield after his team’s win on September 23rd:
Earlier that month, Khalifa also post this on twitter after Chicago Cubs catcher Wilson Contreras had reached out to her through a Twitter DM:
Should she have done either these? Yes and no. Trying to “meet up” with a QB after a game, when he has a girlfriend probably not the best of decisions, but maybe her intentions was just to have some fun and get people talking and that she did. Her decision to post her Twitter DM conversation with Contreras did the same thing, get people talking.
What many people may not known is another side of Khalifa. Recently she donated all of her Twitch.tv September earnings to Hurricane Harvey Relief as part of late night talk show host Stephen Colbert’s hashtag “puberme” campaign for celebrities to get involved and raise awareness for what happening in Puerto Rico.
Putting both of these personalities together on a Youtube series to talk about sports is simply brilliant! The show will mainly be about sports, but with the involvement these two have in the social media world, who knows where the conversation may go. What we do know is that they each have massive social media followings. Just to give you an example of how massive it is: Khalifa has 125k followers on Instagram and Arenas has 512k followers – that’s a combined 637k followers!
Recently the two had a little fun on Instagram. This time instead of Khalifa being the one to call out an athlete on social media, Arenas did. Many at first thought this may have been a legitimate situation that had occurred, but come soon to find out this was just a way for them to promote their new show.
It was meant to be! Khalifa is huge D.C. sports fan and getting to work with former Washington Wizard guard Arenas is a dream come true for her:
"Holy crap, I’m on a show with one of my childhood heroes,” she said after a rehearsal Monday. “It still hasn’t sunk in. I don’t think it will for a while. But I almost cried on set today.”"

Arenas and Khalifa are going to be an entertaining duo to watch, that’s for sure! If you are looking for something different and “out of bounds”, this is the show for you! One thing is guaranteed, they will get people talking!
