Arizona Basketball is chugging along in its recruiting efforts for 2018, and as the class is becoming filled for the Wildcats, one big target remains!
Arizona Basketball’s recruiting class is filling up quickly, and after an untimely and disheartening end to the season, the Wildcats are trending upwards!
It has been a long month or so since the Wildcats were bounced by Buffalo in the NCAA Tournament, and as we are well aware of now, Arizona had just six guys returning from last year as of a few weeks ago.

Fast forward to the end of April, and the Wildcats are have two commitments and two transfers in the class of 2018!
Justin Coleman, the graduate transfer from Samford is the most recent to join the Wildcats. On Friday afternoon, Coleman made his decision via social media.
In addition to Coleman, the Wildcats have secured commitments from; Devonaire Doutrive, Omar Thielemans and Ryan Luther (Pitt grad transfer). However, there are still one to two spots left.
That leaves Brandon Williams and Jordan Brown as potential targets left that the Wildcats are vying for.
Arizona is very much in contention for the services of Williams, as one of the nations best point guards, announced that Arizona remains in his top three choice of schools. Also in that list are Oregon and Gonzaga.
As for Brown, he is one of the nations top remaining uncommitted recruits for 2018. It’s been hard to gauge his recruitment, and despite Cal being the perceived favorite for a while, it appears the Wildcats are gaining ground.
On Thursday, it was announced that one of the nations top forwards had revealed his top three, which included; Cal, Nevada and Arizona!
A commitment of Brown at this point would be quite the surprise, considering just a few weeks ago, Arizona had no one in the class of 2018. Now we are on the verge of potentially having a Top 10 class for 2018!
Brown is a big time player and could have an immediate impact. He could stand to use a bit more weight to his frame, something current strength and conditioning coach, Chris Rounds could impact.
Other than that, Brown is a very good athlete with good length and hands, and a nice touch around the rim. He makes the game look easy, and is a very fluid basketball player, and one the Wildcats would gladly welcome!
