Chance Comanche is getting interest from NBA Teams after a fantastic NBA G-League Elite Mini Camp showing and testing.

Deandre Ayton, Rawle Alkins, and Allonzo Trier are entering the 2018 NBA Draft coming up here in late June. Each player has taken a different road to the NBA as Chance Comanche who played as a rookie in the NBA G-League last season. Ayton is a one-and-done, Alkins tested the waters, returned for his sophomore season improving his physique and his game, and Trier is entering the draft as a Junior with three years of experience under his belt. But they weren’t the only hoopers from Arizona in Chicago, Chance Comanche and Nick Johnson were there as well.

Former Arizona Basketball player Chance Comanche has been on a different path. Comanche was not drafted last season, but he was still in demand, the G-League teams were very interested in him. The Chief had a choice. He got to choose which team he wanted to join, which coach was going to help develop his game to get him into the NBA. His teammate Kobi Simmons took a different path and was able to secure a two-way contract. Simmons played in the NBA this season.

Apparently Comanche knows what he is doing. He chose the Memphis Hustle and coach Glynn Cyprien. Cyprien was one of the coaches at the Elite Mini Camp this past week, and when he wasn’t coaching, he spoke to Ridiculous Upside:

"“I’m so proud of Chance [Comanche]. What he did for the Hustle says so much about who he is. We had other big men with us earlier in the season, so he had to wait his turn,” the coach said. “He remained professional and when his number was called, he made a great impact. For him to come to an event like this, it’s a big deal not only for him, but for us as an expansion team. He’s got a lot of people calling about him. He’s taking this thing seriously and realizing he can play in this league for a long time,”"

NBA executives, coaches, and scouts watched and spoke to the best prospects of the minor league in the G-League Mini Camp, a combine of sorts. These G-League elites also took part in tests. Comanche shined in the second half of the G-League season on the Memphis Hustle and hasn’t stopped shining.

Comanche had a very good showing in Chicago this past week where his team won three out four games. The former Wildcat also placed first in the Shuttle Drill during the agility testing.

Chance has been invited to a few NBA minicamps over the next couple weeks, which will help him determine which team he will play for in the NBA Summer League. He has been training extremely hard since the Hustle season concluded.

Chance plays every day UCLA with current NBA Pros, International Pros and up and coming Pros which is run by Rico Hines. He’s also running the Manhattan Beach sand dunes, stairs, lifting weights and doing tons of calisthenics with his trainers. He’s extremely excited about his up and coming opportunities and believes he’s ready to help impact any NBA team. He will also be playing in the Drew League which in June.

Comanche’s mom Melissa has been extremely supportive of her son, letting him make his own decisions and take his own career path. “I’m so proud of the growth that I’m seeing in him and how hard he’s been working towards achieving his goal which is to play in the NBA. As his mom, it’s very refreshing to see him take his work ethic and self-confidence to another level and a lot of that is due to his Head Coach Glenn Cyprian with the Memphis Hustle.”
