As we continue to follow Arizona Basketball recruit Nico Mannion, the Arizona-based guard has a big announcement coming soon.

We’ve been intently following the recruitment of Arizona Basketball prospect, Nico Mannion as he approaches his college commitment. On Friday, we found out we are getting another step closer.

Mannion, the highly touted guard from the great state of Arizona announced he will be making a huge announcement on July 20.

We can only hypothesize what the announcement could be, but regardless, Mannion is an amazing talent.

Soon-to-be a junior, Mannion has been making a name for himself on the hardwood since middle school, and is currently rated as a Top 25 recruit in the class of 2020. If that’s not impressive enough, he also holds numerous offers from nearly every major program in the country, including Arizona.

Luckily, the Wildcats have been in the thick of the recruitment for some time now, and officially made Mannion’s list of Top 10 schools just a few weeks ago. Arizona made the cut, and hopefully, they can keep their recruiting momentum going!

While his commitment date is unknown, we can at least start to feel Mannion getting closer to a decision.

As we’ve state previously, there has been growing belief that Mannion could officially reclassify to the class of 2019. While nothing is official as of yet, it’s certainly a definite possibility, and the announcement is leaving some to believe that he could be officially reclassifying to 2019.

Senior Editor Jason Scheer and Wildcat Authority, seems to share that same sentiment.

Regardless, whatever Mannion decides, he will still be a phenomenal talent, who will continue to dominate the high school game until he reaches college.

He plays at a very high level with a great overall feel for the game. Mannion possesses an advanced scoring arsenal, and has a smooth and consistent jump shot.

This past season with Pinnacle High School in Phoenix, Mannion averaged over 23 points per game, with nearly six assists and five rebounds, en route to a state championship.
