Bring out your grills, fireworks and good times! As we all celebrate our Countries’ Independence, Former Wildcat Gilbert Arenas shares his Fourth of July story.

It wouldn’t a complete Fourth of July celebration without a classic story from our former Wildcat, Gilbert Arenas. Also named “Agent Zero”, the 12-year NBA veteran took to social media today to share a classic story.

A former Arizona great that played under head coach Lute Olson from 1999-2001, Arenas took his talents to the NBA after just two seasons. Luckily for him, it didn’t take him too long to make his impression felt.

However, even though his time in Tucson was short, we all fell in love with Gilbert’s for his youthfulness and vibrant approach to life.

Known for his tremendous athleticism and potent scoring ability, perhaps more infamous was his off-court “antics” or “shenanigans”. As you may recall, Arenas had an altercation with then teammate Javaris Crittenton back in 2010, where the both supposedly pulled guns on each other.

Arenas since then has told a different version of the story, claiming it to be a bit exaggerated, however, that seemingly was the point in his career, when he started to trend downwards in production.

Over his 12-year career, the embattled NBA veteran faced troubles in staying healthy as well as out of trouble among NBA GM’s. Heck, one could even argue had he stayed healthy and out of the doghouse, he could have possibly been Arizona’s most productive NBA player ever.

Well with a bit of a flashback on this fitting Fourth of July, Agent Zero showed his true, lovable character again, sharing an amazing story via Instagram, in honor of our Nation’s Holiday!

Luckily, it seems like Arenas didn’t get into too much trouble, and learned a bit of a lesson. Nonetheless it’s a hilarious story at that!
