Arizona Football is having another busy weekend, as the Wildcats picked up their third commitment this weekend, this time from a California athlete!

The Wildcats are on a roll, as the Arizona Football team picked up their third commitment over the weekend. Also committing this weekend were Maurice Gaines Jr. and Eddie Siaumau, now joining them is Chris Roland.

Meet Roland, the 6-foot, 180-pound athlete from William Knight High School in Palmdale, CA.

In Tucson, as part of the Wildcats’ huge recruiting weekend, Roland was in town taking in all the festivities. Following the trip, it seems like Roland saw enough and liked what he saw, committing to the Wildcats!

Roland made his announcement via social media, where he picked the Wildcats despite offers from Oregon State, Nevada and New Mexico among others.

With the commitment of Roland, he becomes the 11th commit in the class of 2019! He also is part of a busy weekend that saw a number of recruits hosted, as well as two other commitments (Gaines Jr. and Siaumau).

More from Zona Zealots

Considered a three-star recruit and the 145th ranked athlete in the class of 2019 according to 247Sports, Roland is a versatile player that should be more than welcomed!

This past season at William Knight, Roland was the do-it-all athlete for the Hawks. According to Maxpreps, he had 611 yards on 42 receptions with 10 touchdowns this past season.

Defensively? Just as impressive. Roland had 31 tackles (23 solo) with four interceptions and two pass deflections.

He was part of a rather successful season, helping his team to finish with a 7-3 record.

Star/ ranking watchers, turn your heads, because another commitment from a non-four-star player may nauseate you. Roland’s recruitment may not jump out at you, but make no mistake, this is a good athlete Wildcat fans should be intrigued about.

First off, he has good size! Secondly, he’s an athlete that can play numerous positions, which makes his versatility very coveted.

His highlights are impressive! From first observation, he plays fearlessly! He’s does a great job in coverage, reading the quarterback well and putting himself in a great position in making a play.

Mainly lining up at safety on defense, he looks comfortable there, and does a great job at tackling in the open field.

On offense, he looks great! Lining up on the outside mostly, he is smooth in running his routes, is dangerous in the open field and is tough to cover on the jump balls, as Roland does well in getting to the high point.

There is a lot to like with his game on these highlights!
