Arizona Football: EEGEES IS BACK! EEGEES IS BACK!
Arizona Athletic Director Dave Heeke is getting things done! Wait until you hear what food options will be added for Arizona Football fans!
Since we can remember, there hasn’t been a football season where Zona Zealots has not begged to get eegees frozen slushies back into the Arizona Football Stadium. All that writing and campaigning paid off, and we know Arizona Alum, and ZZ Contributor Peggy McLain will be dancing when she hears this news!
I first started attending Arizona Football games in Tucson in 2009 when my oldest daughter started school. It was hot as hell, and I remember making sure I got seats in the shade, but that didn’t help too much.
What did help? When the stadium workers came along with three flavors of eegees frozen drinks. According to their website, “An eegees is a cup of ice cold frozen fruit perfection packed with flavor and chunks of real fruit. Once you’ve had one, all other frozen drinks just don’t compare.”
There are usually four flavors mixed with chunks of real fruit, if you go to the eegees establishment, lemon, strawberry, pina colada and skinny berry, and you can ask for two flavors in the same cup. They also sell a flavor of the month. This month it is guava passion fruit.

We are guessing that there will be a couple of choices, but heck that’s better than no choices, right? Drinking an eegee was such a great way to cool off in the hot sun, and we cannot wait to be able to partake in this tradition once more.
I will never forget attending our family friends daughters soccer game in Rialto Park a few years ago, and mom brought the team a vat of eegees. Needless to say, it was gone in a matter of minutes what with the players and the parents all digging in to get their refreshments. So excited, I cannot contain myself.
Quarterback Khalil Tate had this to say:
Okay but wait, that’s not all!
According to their website, there is a whole lot of new food that will be available, and they also list the location:
"Locations of new food vendors for the 2018 football season:eegees – nearly all concourse areasEpic Café – Upper east (7th level) and mid-level (4th level) east concourse areas, south end zone concourse, and west (2nd and 4th levels) concoursesBrushFire BBQ – Mid-level (4th level) east concourseCarole’s Up In Smoke BBQ – West (2nd and 4th levels) concoursesSweet Dough Co. Wonder if Sun Devil fans get to drink eegees in their stadium? Well, at least we know they don’t have Tate!
