Arizona Hockey has a rock solid defensive line, aggressive fore-check and tickling the twine has the Wildcats off to a hot start

Will Arizona Hockey repeat as Champions? As Arizona fans, for the past several decades’, basketball and football have dominated the headlines down in Tucson, Arizona. Whether this is because they are on the brink of accomplishing something special or they are just in need of our support during the tough times.

Fans always find a way to make it out McKale Center or Arizona Stadium to support their ‘Cats. Now stepping onto the stage is the returning Champions from last season the Arizona Hockey team!

In any sport, it is a beautiful sight when a team plays together as one collective unit or in other works as a team. This Arizona Hockey team has team done just that and to surprise of many outside the team locker room off to a 6-1 start.

The hockey team started their season with two impressive wins over the team from Tempe who was also ranked No. 24 at the time. This type of win was just what this team needed to jump-start their season. Ever since they beat the Devils on Opening Night, they have not looked back one bit.

The win over the Devils was so sweet, why not do it again a few days later? That’s what the Cats did in their second game. Using some timely lighting of the lamp and even a short-handed goal to send the Devils home with yet another loss.

While the wouldn’t trade away these two over the Devils, they defiantly were not satisfied. As they carried their momentum right in their next three games to reach the 5-0 mark on the season.

It was not until they traveled to Arkansas when this Wildcat team suffered their first heartbreaking loss of the season. While using a furious rally to the game at two midway through the third period. The Wildcats could not fend off the Razorbacks as they lost 3-2.

While accomplishing an undefeated season would be a spectacle that team and its fan would have cherished for a long time. This hockey team did not let the loss linger for long. As they bounced back strong against the number 13th ranked Buffalos of Colorado.

Locked in a tight one at the end of the first period, the Wildcats saw the floodgates open in the second period. As they saw their 2-1 lead increase to 5-1 by the end of the second period. While they were unable to get anything going in the third period being held scoreless by the Buffs. The Wildcats already had the game in hand winning by a final score of 5-2.
