Gilbert Arenas and Jason Terry captains in the BIG3

Former Arizona Wildcats Gilbert Arenas and Jason Terry are going to be captains in the upcoming BIG3 league starting on June 22nd.
As several former Wildcats are still taking part in the NBA Playoffs, there are two that will be taking part in the upcoming BIG3 League for the first time on June 22nd, Gilbert Arenas and Jason Terry. Both known for their long distance shooting in the NBA, will look to take their talents in the BIG3 as captains for two different teams.
They aren’t the first former Wildcats to play in the BIG3, founded by musician and actor Ice Cube. Mike Bibby, may have heard of him? He played in the inaugural season and last season as well for the Ghost Ballers as captain. Similar to Arenas and Terry, Bibby took advantage of the 4-point shot and led the league with six of them!

In its third year, the 3 on 3 league is expanding from eight to 12 teams due to its popularity and unique format. Each team is made up former NBA players plus international players and a legendary coach. This year there are 132 players looking to fill 31 spots in the BIG3 Draft.
Arenas will be representing as captain for one of the four new teams, the Enemies. Terry will be captain for Trilogy. Both will have the responsibility of picking who they want on their team. Also, as captains for each of their respective teams they will be looked upon during the season to come up with clutch shots and to assist in calling plays.
One of the most exciting aspects of this league is the 4-point shot. Would not be surprising at all to see each knock down a couple. Arenas shot 35.1 from 3-point land for his career, making 868 out of 2430 total. Terry finished his career 5th all time with the most made 3-point field goals made with 1140.

For those who have not watched the BIG3 before, I would highly recommend it! Besides the 4-point shot, there are a lot of other rules that make the gameplay exciting to watch. One of those being if the ball touches the rim it must be cleared before the rebounding team can shoot the ball back up. The other big one is the first team to 50 or more points, is the winner but has to win by two. This being 3 on 3 basketball, its faced paced and requires a lot of strategy, but fun to watch!
