Arizona Basketball forward Ira Lee played a game in the Drew League recently and showed that he was dominant among and against the men he played.

It’s hard not to root for Arizona Basketball Ira Lee to do well on the court. The 6-foot-7 235 pound forward comes into to the 2019/2020 season with a ton of confidence. He has a positive outlook with regards to the incoming freshman class and how far they can go in the NCAA tournament.

This seasons team will be without Ira’s sidekick Brandon Randolph who recently played with the Minnesota Timberwolves in the NBA Las Vegas Summer League. The two were bonded and shined while playing in the Ballislife All-American Game before they came to Tucson.

More from Wildcats Basketball

Lee has endured and overcome challenges in the last two seasons as a Wildcat. From losing his beloved grandmother to getting in a bit of trouble to trying to ignore the distractions of the FBI Investigation and teams struggles, Lee held his head up high. You can tell how much he has matured over the last two years. He remains  the warm hearted, humble and skilled player he always has been while containing to hone his game.

This isn’t the first time Lee has played in the Drew League, but this time he was a major factor in a comeback attempt. Second-chance points, rebounds, steals and anything else he could do to hustle to win the game. This Wildcats fan was relishing every minute up close under the basket.

From his freshman season to his sophomore season, Lee averaged four minutes more per game and increased his FG% from 46.2% to 61.7% and rebounding by .5 from nine to 9.5, so close to ten. His points scored per game increased from 9.3 to almost 15 points (14.8) earning him what amounts to an extremely close double-double.
