Arizona Basketball commit for 2020 Dalen Terry has now become a five-star athlete according to 247 Sports.

Rise up! That he has done and for his efforts 2020 Arizona Basketball commit Dalen Terry status has been elevated from a four-star to a five-star ranking according to 247 Sports. Sean Miller has found a gem in Terry and will continue to get better and better…that’s the scary part.

Terry has been putting in work during the summer by training and working on improving his overall game. He also has been competing in several AAU events with Compton Magic, including the inaugural Fantastic 40 17u event in which they won.  Terry was one of the players that stood out, helping his team to victory.

Arizona Basketball officially now has a five-star commit for the Class of 2020 and may soon be joined by Hillcrest Academy teammate Puff Johnson him at Arizona. Things are beginning to come together for Wildcat basketball.

More from Wildcats Basketball

All it takes is for one player to commit or even better get changed to a five-star ranking. Other recruits thinking about coming to Arizona may seriously consider doing so once they see someone of Terry’s status choose Arizona. That’s how it works nowadays in college basketball. Players want to play with other highly talented players that they can see themselves playing alongside.

Besides his five-star ranking, he is now the 26th ranked recruit according to 247 Sports. Other media outlets have him within the Top 50, including ESPN who has him as No.48 (of course they do). To say rankings and five-star status don’t matter is silly. They of course matter and it helps the program build for the future. Plus it brings national exposure to that program during the college basketball season when top talent is playing.

At six foot six and 190 pounds, Terry is extremely versatile on both offense and defense.

He has great handles, a sweet looking three-point shot, excellent court vision and can finish with both hands at the rim with ease. Terry also has great hops and can throw it down with authority. Plus, what I love about his style of play is his attitude. He likes to have fun, while at the same time playing at such a high level. Dude is going to be a tough guard come the 2020-21 season because he is so versatile and quick.

At Zona Zealots, we would like to congratulate Dalen Terry on getting that fifth star. More then deserved. Wildcats fans can’t wait to see him in action. Bear Down, Arizona!
