Gaining traction in the 2021 recruiting class, the Arizona Basketball team got good news on Wednesday regarding five-star forward, Paolo Banchero!

With the 2020 recruiting all but finalized at this point, the attention begins for 2021 for the Arizona Basketball team, with five-star forward Paolo Banchero being a big target.

If you recall, it wasn’t long ago that the Wildcats had offered the Seattle-area forward, and luckily not long after that, he announced his Top 10 schools, with Arizona being on that list!

Well now fast forward a couple weeks, and Banchero has cut his list of schools again, with the Wildcats once again in his list of Top schools.

The news broke via social media today, as Banchero announced his schools which features; Arizona, Kentucky, Tennessee, Gonzaga, Duke and Washington.

Make no mistake, this is a big deal! Banchero is high on Arizona, and even with the late offer, Sean Miller and the Wildcats are doing well to stay in this recruitment.

As a matter of fact, you may have remembered that Arizona held an unofficial visit for Paolo, albeit being a virtual visit.

Making him a priority in the class of 2021 is a smart move, as Paolo is clearly one of the best players in the country, ranking No. 4 overall according to 247Sports, and he possesses a lot of upside.

He’s a towering 6-feet-9-inches and 235-pounds and with his size and frame, he is a traditional, face-up four, with a decent shot. He’s a big kid with big game who can rebound really well, he can use his strength to his advantage and is only going to continue to get better.

We raved about him earlier, as he was a big part of the success for O’Dea High School, helping the Fighting Irish get the state finals before falling to Garfield High School.

We know this is going to continue to be a fight until the end here, but we got to think with Jason Terry coming aboard as an assistant coach, the Pacific Northwest connection has got to account for something!

Here’s a reminder of just how good this kid is!
