With Covid outbreak in MLB, what’s to expect with Arizona Athletics?
Less than a week into the MLB Season, and already we have seen numerous Covid cases. So with the recent spikes, does that spell doom for Arizona Athletics?
Finally sports are back! All is good with the world, right? Well, unfortunately not exactly as just under a week into the infantile stages of the 2020 MLB season, we’ve now seen a spike in Covid cases with the Miami Marlins. So with those spikes, could that be indicative of Arizona Athletics in the coming weeks/ months.
In case you’ve been living under a rock the past four-to-five months, we’ve certainly been living in some rather unprecedented times. And lately it seems like it’s been a very fluid situation this off-season as, especially as we’ve been teetering on the brink of potentially having or not having fall sports.

However, in recent weeks it seems like their is growing belief that there will indeed be an Arizona Football season.
Especially as we’ve seen Arizona Athletic Director Dave Heeke adamantly suggest that we will have a season, it’s all been made more promising to see that Arizona and the Pac-12 are beginning to outline having 10-game season as well.
It all sounds positive, right? Yes, but with recent spikes in the number of positive Covid cases in the state, and also seeing the recently transpired events in Major League Baseball with regards to the Marlins, it has to at least make you think. As a fan, you can’t help but ask the question as to whether there will be a fall season.
Well to me, what we are basically seeing right now is the blueprint/ preview for how sports may go for the next few months. What happens will give us our answer.
Right now, the MLB season is underway, the NBA season and the NHL season restarts are just around the corner as well, and if it these restarts go poorly, and the athletes starting getting sick quickly, I think you will see an immediate postponement on college athletics.
Anyways, that’s why I think it is imperative to keep an eye on what’s happening the next two weeks. As things transgress, we will likely know the outcome for the upcoming Arizona Football season. As always, Bear Down, Arizona!
