Arizona 2026 commit Caleb Holt was named the Co-Most Valuable Player with Missouri signee Jason Crow Jr. in the McDonald's All-American Game. Former Virginia and NBA player Cory Alexander credited Crow Jr and Holt as catalysts for what they did defensively in a 102-86 win by the West.
Holt finished with 11 points on four out of eight from the field, two out of five on three-point attempts, one out of two from the free throw line, with five rebounds and four assists. Crow Jr. finished with 16 points, two rebounds and five assists.
Crow Jr. and Holt led a dominant second-half surge by the West. The West outscored the East 24-18 in the third quarter and 36-26 in the fourth quarter to pull away after the game was tied at 42 at halftime. Holt was third on the West in scoring behind Crow Jr. and Tyran Stokes, the top-ranked player in the 2026 class, had 12.
Holt is fourth in the 2026 class, the top shooting guard and number one player in California in the 247Sports composite rankings. Deandre Ayton is the only player in the history of the Arizona basketball program who was a higher-ranked signee than Holt.

Holt's all-court game
Holt showed an all-court game by contributing to the West defensively, as a facilitator and scoring at three levels. At 6'5 and 200 pounds with a 6'9 wingspan, Holt projects as an elite two-way player for Arizona in 2026-27. Holt's performance gave Arizona fans a glimpse of the future at the McDonald's All-American Game played in Glendale.
Holt projects as the starting shooting guard for Arizona in 2026-27. ESPN lists Holt as a small forward, while most other recruiting sites project him as a shooting guard. Holt will be a major part of the foundation of the 2026-27 roster for Arizona and Tommy Lloyd.
