Arizona Football: Commit Michael Eletise Enjoyed his Official Visit
Arizona Football class of 2016 commit Michael Eletise took his official visit this weekend, and he enjoyed it.
The No. 1 recruit from the great state of Hawaii, Michael Eletise, declared his commitment to the University of Arizona on the nightly news in July.
Before his senior year, Eletise was ranked No. 216 overall nationally according to Scout. After his senior year, Scott ranks Eletise No. 166 overall and No. 11 in the Nation as an offensive lineman. In the ESPN 300 rankings, he is now ranked No. 129 overall and No. 8 in his position. He took his official visit last weekend; it was his second visit to the school.
The weekend started with Eletise Tweeting out his departure to the mainland with a great picture of himself with a huge smile on his face. It’s a wonderful contagious smile.
The weekend started by a nice greeting in the quaint Tucson Airport, his coaches met Eletise at the Airport to take him to his new future home.
Zona Zealots received a special message for fans from Eletise when asked to tell us the highlight of his trip to the Desert:
“Aloha! I loved the University and the team. Favorite part was meeting the entire coaching staff and football department. I also really enjoyed going to practice and seeing everyone in action. It was one of the best weekends of my life. I wanted to be a Wildcat before I came; now I feel like I AM a Wildcat. ”
You are a Wildcat Michael! You are already in our hearts, and I am sure I am speaking for fans, your future fellow students and coaches alike.
What’s most important to Michael is coming to a school where he feels like family, and his coaches proved that to him over the last couple of weeks. Not only do they have their family hang out at the university, but they also made a few trips to Hawaii to visit Eletise.

"“They flew five hours just to have dinner with me, then got back on the plane and flew back home. I told them they didn’t need to do that but it definitely meant a lot to me,” Michael said according to Greg Biggins of Scout.com."
Eletise still has schools going after him and wanting him to visit, but he remains committed to the University of Arizona. Why wouldn’t they?
"“I’m going to Arizona and I don’t think it’s right to visit anywhere else,” Eletise said. “There was a time when I thought it would be fun to see some other places but I know Arizona is the place for me and I’m not looking around at anyone else. I’ve always wnated to honor my work to Coach Rodriguez and that’s what I’m going to do.”"
Zona Zealots reported that Eletise probably was a factor in Kahi Neves committing, what we didn’t point out is that these two played together at Kaiser HS together. Big dudes! Rich Rod looks darn happy.
Here’s a great shot of assistant offensive line coach Jim Michalczik and Eletise in front of an excellent backdrop.
Coach Dudek had a great time with Eletise too! Look at that burger! Don’t miss the line in this tweet that will have you laughing, “@Lindyson4th OMFG Challenge #BearDownChowDown,” a little plug there for the restaurant you all will now want to check out.
