Former NBA player Manute Bol’s son, Bol Bol, is ranked in the top five of Class 2018 and received an offer from the Arizona Wildcats earlier this year.
Let’s take a look at this seven-foot Arizona Basketball recruit Bol Bol!
Like father like son. Bol Bol has a similar pedigree like his father, former NBA player (who played 12 seasons in the NBA) but with an added twist. The younger Bol can shoot the ball from inside and out.
In today’s age of college and professional basketball, seeing big men handle the ball and shoot the outside shot is becoming more of the norm. He will surely be valuable to any team that he is on and hard for any opponent to handle.

Bol is listed 7-foot-2 and 220 lbs, whereas his father was 7’7 and 210 lbs. Those are some nice genes to have passed down! As you can see from these highlights, he can do it all:

- Fade away from the baseline – check
- One hand thunderous dunk – check
- “Not in my house” blocking style – check
- Delicate touch from around the basket – check

Currently, Bol plays for Mater Dei, one of the premier high schools in Southern California and the country. He is averaging almost 16 points, nine rebound and nearly three blocks per game in his junior season. Bol also plays for the AAU team, Cal Supreme, and his numbers are incredible.
Cal Supreme is Arizona commits Shareef O’Neal and Deandre Ayton’s AAU team as well. They play under Head Coach Gary Franklin. Cal Supreme is also Parker Jackson-Cartwright‘s former club team.
In the most recent AAU EYSL event this past weekend, he averaged 30 points, ten rebounds and almost three blocks per game – that works!
According to verbalcommits.com, the Wildcats made an offer to Bol at the beginning of the year. Class of 2018 stud Shareef O’Neal just recently committed to the Wildcats and the possible addition of Bol would make the Cats a very dangerous team. O’Neal and Bol as your big men inside – good luck guarding that duo!
Coach Cal decided he had to offer Bol Bol, so the competition just got real!
