The Arizona Wildcat Basketball program just had another five star recruit visit – this time from Jahvon Quinerly. Time to learn a little more about this incredible athlete!

Another one! That seems to be the theme this off-season for Arizona Wildcat basketball. Coach Sean Miller and his coaching staff have been hard at work recruiting elite talent from all over the country. The most recent talent would be five-star recruit Jahvon Quinerly from Jersey City, NJ.

West or east coast does not matter, the Wildcats are making a statement for this up-coming season and next season – better bring your “A” game when you face the red and blue from T-town!

According to ESPN 100, Jahvon Quinerly is ranked No, 15 overall in the country for the class of 2018 . He is currently sought after from six other top ranked NCAA Division One powerhouses:

At 6-foot2 and 160 pounds, Quinerly has that “natural” point guard ability to make some flashy plays, while getting others involved. Over the course of his three years playing for Hudson Catholic High School, Quinerly has averaged almost 16 points, four assists and two rebounds per game.

He also plays for Sports U in the Under Armor Associate 17U league, averaging 20 points and almost six assists per game – dishing out the dimes!

From this video, you can see the all the amazing abilities on display:

  • Behind the back passes
  • Sick looking spins crossovers
  • No look passes
  • Down the lane acrobatic moves to the basket
  • Outside and inside smooth shooting touch

Similar to Rawle Alkins’s “savage life” movement, Quinerly has been part of a social media movement called “Jelly Fam” (which involves a flick of wrist during a layup):

Recently Quinerly posted his first USA Today High school blog, where he discussed his visit to Tucson:

"I spent a lot of time with Rawle Alkins and Allonzo Trier and all the other guys and they welcomed me there as if I was family. They were mad cool and gave me the real about how it is there and what Coach Sean Miller wants to accomplish."

Getting the inside scoop from current Wildcat players on what its like to play for Arizona – how cool is that?! Plus, its allows for recruits like Quinerly to relate on a player level on what to expect while playing for Coach Miller.

Wildcats have already recruited Shareef O’Neal and Brandon Williams for the class of 2018. By adding Quinerly to the lineup, it would make the Cats a very difficult team to guard.
