Arizona Basketball commit Brandon Williams met us at the famous Drew League last Sunday to catch us up on recruiting, committing, goals, and becoming Wildcat.

It’s been a year full of healing and recuperation for Arizona Basketball commit Brandon Williams, and it wasn’t easy watching his Crespi High School basketball team not win the CIF Southern Section Mission League Championship. Williams has led his Celt’s to championships each year he has played, but last season he was cheering from the sidelines.

Williams beams and smiles ear to ear, each time we spoke about the 2018 Arizona Basketball Recruiting class, “It’s a dream come true,” explains Williams. The 2018 class includes Williams and Shareef O’Neal, the two talk on the daily.

More from Basketball Recruiting

Williams family is pleased about Williams decision which was not taken lightly. Between Brandon, his mom and dad and God, he feels being a Wildcat is the perfect fit for him. The turning point for him was when Coach Lorenzo Romar was hired.

Williams is happy to help with recruiting, and he was bummed about his buddy Taeshon Cherry committing to USC instead of Arizona. He so wanted to share the Arizona experience with Cherry, but now he will become his opponent. That’s fine with Williams, he’s happy for his friend and looking forward to beating his team, but now he is concentrating on the next man up.

Find out who Williams has his sights set on in this exclusive interview which took place outside of The Drew League Sunday games.

We found out on the down-low that Williams is not only undefeated in CIF Championships, and he is also an eSports Champion. He has NEVER lost in NBA 2K. In fact, Deandre Ayton has lost to the Quick hands of Williams, and he hasn’t forgotten about it, he beat him during their off-time at the Nike EYBL Peach Jam they both participated in. He and dad had a big chuckle over that feat, and Williams wants a rematch!

I haven’t yet met an Arizona target, commit or player that I haven’t come away impressed by, and Williams is no different. On top of that, I am always taken aback at these young men and their maturity, how they are so talented but also quietly humble and completely confident. I gotta hand it to the Arizona coaches, great eye for character and talent and his parents for raising such a great young man. The Wildcats 2018 class has a fantastic start, and I can only imagine who Shareef O’Neal and Brandon Williams recruit next!
