Crossroads High School star and Arizona Basketball commit Shareef O’Neal with his teammate DJ Houston led the team and beat Los Altos HS move on to the CIF Southern Section Final Four on tonight.

More from Basketball Recruiting

Crossroads High School and their star forward Shareef O’Neal have a new coaching staff this year headed up by Drew League veteran Anthony Davis who played on Baron Davis’s team. Baron is an alumnus of Crossroads HS and stays close to the school. Another Alumnus of Crossroads is South Bay Lakers assistant coach and former Arizona Wildcat Isaiah Fox.

Anthony Davis added some fantastic coaches to his team including former Lakers assistant coach Thomas Scott (son of Byron Scott), Keyon Arkwright and Amani Daanish.

The Roadrunners should be very proud of their winning regular season going 19-8. Crossroads went 6-1 this year in the CIF Southern Section behind the famous Sierra Canyon High School with Arizona Basketball target Cassius Stanley and pro ballers sons.

Crossroads only divisional loss was against Sierra Canyon where the team lost by only six points 75-69. To get to the finals, the team will have to beat on El Cajon HS at a neutral site tonight at 6:30 pm. The game can be viewed on NFHS live. You will need to register for free first.

The Roadrunners beat the Conquerors on Tuesday night in the CIF Southern Section Quarter Finals (2AA) by two points, the game went down to the buzzer. The Conquerors two guards No. 2 Eric Jones (sophomore) and No. 3 Connor Cook were on fire making most of their shots. O’Neal started the first half scoring 15 of the Roadrunners 33 points in the first half. Up by only five points, the Roadrunners and Conquerors would go back and forth until the last seconds of the game.

O’Neal made almost all of his shots from all over the court. Layups, jumpers on the left, jumpers on the right, three’s, you name it, this baller is so versatile! Here is one of Reef’s spectacular dunks:

In the second half, Coach Davis decided to use O’Neal as a decoy and got the rest of his team involved in the game. His strategy worked! Shareef’s teammate DJ Houston hit the game-winning layup! He needs some D1 offers, just saying. The Roadrunners won 69-67 and move on in the playoffs.
