The Phoenix Suns worked out Arizona Basketball players Rawle Alkins and Allonzo Trier, and are the favorites to draft Deandre Ayton at the No. 1 pick. Alkins could be a great pickup at No. 16 or 31!
On Friday, Arizona Basketball players Rawle Alkins and Allonzo Trier worked out for the Phoenix Suns. Wildcats fans started looking forward to the possibilities. Alkins has been very busy lately and has been working on accomplishing all that he set out to do post-college.

Alkins is doing everything he set out to do, and he continues to feel confident about his performances as well as his progress.
Then came the tryout that you would assume most Wildcats fans living in Arizona would be extremely excited about, the Phoenix Suns. The Suns have the first and sixteenth pick in the first round of the 2018 NBA Draft. They also have two picks in the second round (No. 31, No. 59). On Friday, the Suns worked out both King Rawle and Allonzo Trier. Trier shows up in the Sun’s mock drafts at the 59th pick, but you have to admit that it would be fun to see Alkins and Dre back together again.
Alkins felt the Sun’s tryout went really well, and he was able to show off his dunking ability highlighting his specialties. He spoke to the media after the tryout and suggested the Suns take fellow Wildcat Deandre Ayton as the first pick. Ayton could have come to the Zo and Rawle workout, but it would have counted as one of his two visits he is allowed.
Alkins talked about Ayton and gave him some great props. But make no mistake about it, Alkins would love to play for the Suns. “It will mean a lot — being that I went to the UofA, and I like to look at myself as one of the fan-favorites for Arizona I feel like playing here would be fun and would be a great experience.”
Media was very interested in what Rawle had to say about Zo, Dre, playing for the Suns, dunking, and working through adversity.

Alkins made sure the media understood, and rightly so, that he and his team won back-to-back tournaments amidst all of the drama of last season. If the Suns are smart, they could have two to three Wildcats on their roster, and if you enjoyed the best dunk of last season, along with all the Dre Dunks with Alkins logging an assist, you might get your wish! The Suns could add a bunch of season ticket holders, and the Wildcats would be quick hometown favorites.
