Zona Zoo is getting an Upgrade to Student Seating in Arizona Stadium
It’s been on the minds of fans and the Athletic Department, but upgrades are happening to Arizona Stadium, with Zona Zoo benefiting in 2018!
If you have been paying attention or have noticed, there is a lot of construction happening on campus this summer. The Athletic Department is looking to improve its facilities this year, where the Zona Zoo inside Arizona Stadium will be one of the first areas being addressed.
In addition to the upgrades coming to Arizona Stadium, the Athletic Department is also renovating the Hillenbrand Swimming & Diving Facility, as well as building new seating and concessions for the Hillenbrand Softball Stadium, AND a long overdue Indoor Sports Facility.

You can continue to watch the progress of those projects on campus here.
While some of those projects will be ongoing for 2018 and possibly into 2019, the school is nearly completing the first round of renovations for Arizona Stadium. The whole project is budgeted for $25 million and will be done in stages, starting on the East side, which began back in January of 2018.
The purpose of the project is to improve the overall infrastructure and safety, as well as bring up coding to the entire stadium. Additionally, the improvements will help with stadium circulation, while improving restrooms, concessions and fan amenities.
Arizona is heavily focused on enhancing the fan experience, and by the work they’re doing this should do just that. The Zona Zoo should benefit with a bit of a face lift to the student section, and the stadium will now have two large openings for people to congregate.
