Arizona Basketball makes Class of 2020 four-star recruit Tari Eason’s Top 10 list.

Top 10. Four-star Class of 2020 recruit Tari Eason just released his Top 10 list of schools and Arizona basketball is one of them. Eason is the second possible commit for 2020 that has the Wildcats in their latest lists of school. Five-star recruit Jalen Johnson recently had Arizona basketball in his Final  4 schools.

College basketball recruiting is competitive these days and a continuous process as programs build for the future. Coaching staffs work hard this time of the year, making their case why their school and system is a good fit for that player. Coach Sean Miller and his coaching staff are doing a phenomenal job of doing that, whether it’s in home visits or players visiting the school.

Their hard work has been paying off with a top 5 class for 2019 already in place . Plus, they have already been taking the next steps to lock in a top class for 2020. The latest recruit to express his interest in Arizona, Eason, has a lot of other top schools in his Top 10, including five other Pac-12 schools.

According to 247 Sports, Eason is a four-star power forward, ranked 123 national and listed at 6 foot 8 and 210 lbs. He currently plays for Federal Way High School in Washington and also for the AAU team ML20.

In his junior season during the Prep Circuit for Federal Way, in the 7 games he played, Eason averaged 20.6 points per game and 13.0 rebounds per game. Eason led his team all the way to Class 4A State Tournament semifinals, where they loss to Gonzaga Prep 61-53. He finished with 19 points, seven rebound and four blocks in the final game.

There are lot of things to be excited about Eason’s game. For his size and style of play, he has the ability to play multiple positions, making him a versatile player.  Eason will need to bulk up a little when he makes the transition to college, but his long wing span and athletic ability makes him a good fit for Arizona.

Also, when watching his highlights it’s apparent how much he has fun playing the game. A lot of these highly talented incoming freshman play competitive AAU circuits and there is a lot of pressure of them to perform and impress NCAA Division I schools. It seems though when Eason is out there peforming, he is not only playing at a high level, but is having fun doing it. Love that!
