Arizona Basketball received exciting news with Class of 2020 four-star small forward Marcus Bagley having Arizona in his Top 3.

Could Marcus Bagley be the first Class of 2020 commit for Arizona Basketball? The answer to that question is likely to be answered soon as he just announced his Top 3, which includes Arizona, Arizona State, and California. Many speculate the Sun Devils and recently even took an official visit there, but you never know.

Arizona was one of the first schools to make an offer to Bagley, the other school was UCLA. He hasn’t visited Arizona nor has head coach Sean Miller scheduled a visit, but that hasn’t stopped the four-star recruit from selecting the Wildcats in his Top 3. One thing is guaranteed, he will be playing in the Pac-12 next season.

For those that didn’t know, Marcus is the younger brother of former Duke Blue Devils Marvin Bagley III, who was drafted No.2 in the 2018 NBA Draft. If he were to select Arizona, imagine how that would make Dick Vitale feel. Not a happy camper I am guessing.

More from Basketball Recruiting

According to 247 Sports, Bagley is a small forward listed at 6 foot 8 and 220lbs. He is rated as a four-star recruit and No.50 overall in the nation. Bagley is extremely versatile and can play multiple positions, making him a great fit for Arizona’s style of offense.

This past junior season at Sheldon High School he averaged 19.9 points, 7.9 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.0 steals per game. Nice footwork, soft-looking touch from outside, able to finish with authority down low, comfortable handling the ball are all reasons why Bagley could become a major factor for Arizona within a couple of seasons.

The Wildcats don’t have a commit for the Class of 2020 yet, but if Bagley were to be the first one I would imagine others would follow. All it takes is one.

Bagley knows a thing or two about playing against top competition. He currently plays for the AAU team MB3 ELite and played against another Arizona recruit, Josh Christopher, in an AAU event. Maybe these two could be playing with one another during the 2020-21 season?

Here are some highlights for you to enjoy during his junior season!

At Zona Zealots, we are excited to Marcus Bagley choosing Arizona Basketball in his Top 3. Now we will all have to patiently wait to see which of the Pac-12 schools he decides to play college basketball for. For now, let us all Bear Down!
