Arizona Basketball: Why Arizona needs to bring back the cactus logo

The Arizona Basketball program has gone through several logo transformations in its rich history, including the cactus logo, which needs to come back!
Since the inception of Arizona Basketball, there have been many different styles of the Arizona logo that have been represented either on the jersey or even on the court. One logo that many fans would love to see back, myself included, would be one with the cactus.
Nothing like bring back that old school logo. Believe or not it was on the court of McKale Center for 22 years before it was taken down prior to the 2009-10 basketball season. During that timeframe, the program was coached by one of the greatest coaches, not just at Arizona but of all-time…Lute Olson.
Under Olson, the Wildcats made 23 straight NCAA appearances including the program’s only NCAA Championship in 1997. Since Olson left, the program has not made it past the Elite 8. Maybe bringing back the cactus logo would also bring along some back of that winning magic.

Currently, the floor of McKale Center is made up of the block A in the center with Lute and Bobbi Olson Court as well. Imagine the Arizona cactus logo on there as well, that would be hype!
There are some interesting courts around the country and within the Pac-12 conference including Oregon who has probably one of the strangest ones. If Arizona decided to upgrade the court with the cactus logo it would certainly have one of the best-looking ones in the conference and country…just saying.

As far as logos go, Arizona some of the best out there in the Pac-12 and in the country. Not only do they look clean, but there is also much meaning behind what they represent.
