Arizona Basketball is still looking to add to it’s roster for the Class 2020, with the latest available transfer being Jordan Brown.

The future is looking real bright. The 2019-20 Arizona Basketball roster is set, but Coach Sean Miller and his staff are looking to build out the 2020-21 roster. There is one player out there that would be a great fit for that roster, Jordan Brown. Per NCAA rules he wouldn’t be eligible to play until the 2020-21 season. If the Wildcats were able to land him, he would still be able to practice with the team this season, preparing himself for the following season, which would be huge!

Originally during his recruitment, Brown had Arizona in his Top 3 along with California and Nevada. He ended up choosing the Wolfpack, but after one year as decided to put himself in the transfer portal. Now with being available, many believe Arizona is a frontrunner and would be a great fit.

More from Wildcats Basketball

Listed as a five-star forward, at 6 foot 11 and 210 pounds, Brown is one of the highly sought out transfers. In in his one and only season with the Wolfpack, he only averaged 3.0 points, 2.1 rebounds and .5 assists per game in 33 games played. Brown started in just one game and played 10.1 minutes per game. This was because Nevada had many returners and transfers during his time there that saw more playing time.

Brown recently did visit Arizona, as well as Saint Mary’s. No surprise that there are two other top schools, Kentucky and Texas A&M, expressing their interest. Arizona State also is looking to fill it’s void in the front court with the addition of Brown, whom they are hosting.

There are several reason why Brown would be a great for Arizona basketball during the 2020-21. The first one being playing time. After this season, Chase Jeter will have graduated, leaving just a couple of players in the front court who would see playing time in Zeke Nnaji and Christian Koloko. Brown would immediately be able to fill that gap for the Wildcats.

Another reason why Arizona would be a good fit is because of the exposure. Someone of his caliber, needs to play at school like Arizona. The history this program has of developing players to play at the next level speaks for itself.

The last reason is why not?! Looking at the other schools in the mix, Arizona makes the most sense for Brown. He would be able to bring his experience and talent to this program, making an immediate impact!
