Arizona Basketball: Top point guard for 2021 Kennedy Chandler receives offer
By David Rosen
Arizona Basketball recruiting never stops with the latest offer going to Class of 2021 point guard Kennedy Chandler.
Arizona Basketball is always looking to build out for the future. A great example of that is in their latest offer to one of the top point guards for the Class of 2021 Kennedy Chandler. After leading MOKAN Elite to win the Peach Jam by defeating Team WhyNot 85-84, Chandler has been receiving newly found attention in the form of offers, including one from Arizona.
Chandler joins Jaden Hardy and Devin Askew as to the other guards to have received offers for 2021. There are four other players to have received offers as well. Who will be the first?
According to 247 Sports, Chandler is listed at 6 foot 1, 160 pounds. Only a junior in high school, there is still plenty of time for him to get stronger and put on some more weight before playing college ball. He is also listed as the No.3 ranked point guard in the nation and the No.1 player in the state of Tennesse for 2021. How is he only a four-star recruit? Should be a five-star!

There are many qualities about his game that make him a highly sought-out recruit. Currently, he has offers from 15 other top programs, including Kentucky, Kansas, Duke, and UNC.
The one thing that standouts when watching highlights of Chandler play, his quickness. Combine that with his ability to finish in multiple ways at the rim makes him difficult to guard. Plus he has a smooth looking shot from outside the arc.
But that’s not all. He has incredible court vision when it comes to finding his teammates when driving to the basket or passing the ball down the floor for the easy finish. Chandler can also get it done on the defensive end, which Sean Miller loves to see his players do.
During the Peach Jam event, he had a stellar outing averaging 14.1 points and six assists per game. The title game was broadcasted on ESPNU which only helped Chandler’s stock go up and made a case for why he is one the best point guards in the 2021 class. In that game, Chandler competed against another top point guard, Devin Askew, who has received a lot of attention from Arizona of late.
At Zona Zealots, we would like like to congratulate Kennedy Chandler on receiving an offer to play for Arizona Basketball. We look forward to seeing him get even better his junior and senior season of high school. As always, Bear Down, Arizona!
