Arizona Basketball fans are still waiting for the next commitment for the 2020-21 season, which may come from Top 10 prospect Ziaire Williams.
Since Dalen Terry signed his NLI back in early November, there has yet to be any additional commitments made to Arizona Basketball. A couple who had the Wildcats in their Final List, Puff Johnson and Adam Miller, chose to verbally commit to other schools, North Carolina and Illinois. Top 10 prospect Ziaire Williams, is another top recruit the Wildcats have a chance to land and the latest predictions indicate Arizona.
National recruiting analyst Corey Evans of Rivals.com indicates he feels strongly that Arizona is the frontrunner for Williams. Other schools in the running include North Carolina, Stanford USC. If the Wildcats were to land him, he would be a major addition to next season’s roster. Because of his athleticism, versatility, Williams would be an immediate impact player, he’s that good.
Williams, Terry and maybe even Georgetown transfer James Akinjo, the possibilities of how the Wildcats look next year are looking very promising. As we have mentioned before, never doubt the abilities of Sean Miller. He has been asked a few times this season about the state of recruiting for Arizona and always seems confident that top quality players will be joining the team.

With how Arizona has been doing so far this season it has helped recruiting. Players want to play for a program that knows how to win. Plus, being able to win big games on national television helps as well. They took care of business in the Wooden Legacy Tournament and face a couple of big-time tests against Baylor and Gonzaga. They can win those games, it would positively impact recruiting as well.
Williams is currently playing with a stacked Sierra Canyon high school team. Some of the players included Bronny James and Zaire Wade, a few names you may have heard before.
Like Arizona, playing for a team like Sierra Canyon, they will always get the other team’s best effort. This gives Williams great practice to experience what this is like if he chooses Arizona. Every opponent, whether at home or on the road is looking to pull the upset against the Wildcats.
