Arizona basketball has the No.1 class for 2019 in the Pac-12 according to 247 Sports.

No.1. At one point Arizona Basketball had the top ranking for the Class of 2019, but with the latest commits to Memphis and Kentucky, the Wildcats sit at No.3 overall. According to 247 Sports, they at the top of the Pac-12 conference, with USC at the No.2 spot. Wildcat fans have plenty to be excited about next season, including the talent that will be joining the roster.

Things will be much different than last season, mainly because of the incoming recruiting class, headlined by five-star commits Nico Mannion and Josh Green. Expectations were low last season, which was unusual for Arizona basketball. This upcoming season will be much different and they will be expected to contend for the Pac-12 title as well as make a deep run in the NCAA Tournament.

More from Wildcats Basketball

Currently the Wildcats have a total of five incoming commits and one transfer for next season: Mannion, Green, Terry Armstrong, Zeke Nnaji, Christian Koloko and UC Irvine transfer Max Hazzard. Two five-stars, two four-stars, one three-star plus one experience transfer translates to a good balance of backcourt and frontcourt players that can make an immediate impact.

The only other schools that have at least one five-star recruit is USC, Oregon and Washington.  Players leaving and testing out the NBA waters, transferring to other school or graduating will benefit the Wildcats. They only had two players graduate, Justin Coleman and Ryan Luther, and Brandon Randolph who is testing out the NBA waters.

The Wildcats won’t be losing much talent at all. If anything, they will be gaining a significant amount of players that are versatile and can play multiple positions. Coach Sean Miller will have a deep bench and many options to choose from when it comes to starting lineup.

As we get closer and closer to the start of the 2019-2020 basketball season and then onto conference play, it will be very interesting to see how this team handles the pressure and being in the national spotlight. Something tells me this team will rise to the occasion and be just fine. No need to worry Wildcat fans, Arizona basketball will be back dominating their opponents before you know it. Bear Down, Arizona!
