Projected to be a starter for Sean Miller and the Wildcats this season, he will be playing alongside Nico Mannion. The two of them have developed a strong friendship and chemistry on and off the court. They have a legitimate chance to be one the best freshman duo this college basketball season.
His resume this offseason speaks for itsef. Green took part in the McDonalds All-American Game, Nike Hoops Summit event and also led IMG Academy to a National Championship, and was named MVP.
He recently posted on Twitter that he is in Tucson and ready to get to work! Green’s work ethic is right up there with the best. It’s obvious he is someone who strives to be better every day. Knowing what’s ahead and what’s expected of him, Green will need to be ready to go at the beginning season.
Listed as a small forward at 6 foot 6 and 190 pounds, Green has the size, strength and athleticsm to compete with the best at the two and three position. His style of game will complement the team well because of his unselfishness. Green will be able to take his man off the dribble, which will force opponents to try and help defend, leaving teammates such as Ira Lee or Chase Jeter open down low for the easy finish.
The Pac-12 will be stacked with talent this year, resulting in much better competition then last year. Also, the conference has a chance to send more teams to the NCAA Tournament. One thing is for sure, the Wildcats will be much better this year with Green in the starting line up.
At Zona Zealots, we are excited to finally get to see Josh Green compete as an Arizona Wildcat. Still a few months away before that happen, but before you know it Green will be putting on a show for all Wildcat fans to enjoy! Bear Down, Arizona!
